Jason is an Edmonton based playwright and actor. Upcoming plays include Intimacy, a short play inspired by the Jean Paul Sartre story of the same name, for Surreal Soreal’s Sartre shorts. His contemporary adaptation of Chekhov’s The Seagull (commissioned by the Canadian Centre for Theatre Creation) will be performed by the MacEwan University Theatre Arts students this winter. MurderersConfess at Christmastime, which received its premiere production at Summerworks2013, will be presented at Theatre Network in May 2014. Murderers was developedat the Citadel Theatre Playwrights’ Forum from 2011-2013. Jason will be returning to the Citadel next spring to develop his latest play. His first main stage production, Ladies Who Lynch, was nominated for the Sterling awards for Outstanding Production and Outstanding New Play. Favourite acting credits include Pervert and Victoria Martin: Math Team Queen (Northern Light Theatre), The Cripple of Inishmaan (Studio Theatre), East of Berlin (University of Alberta), and the Dora award winning Mr. Marmalade (Outside the March). Jason has a Bachelor of Arts in drama from the University of Alberta.
