GREG MACARTHUR

Greg is a playwright, dramaturg, and teacher.  He graduated from  Ryerson Theatre School in Toronto in 1992. Since that time, he has been devoted to the creation and development of new work for the stage. His plays have been produced extensively across Canada, as well as in South Africa, Germany, the UK, Mexico, Hungary, and the United States. They have been translated into numerous languages.  His work includes: The Missionary Position; A City; Tyland: The Toxic Bus Incident; Recovery; Get Away; Snowman; girls! girls! girls!. His plays are published by Coach House Books. He was Artist-In-Residence at Playwrights’ Workshop Montreal from 2005-2011 and recently finished a two-year stint as the Lee Playwright-In-Residence  at The University of Alberta. He was short-listed for the 2011 Siminovitch Award for Playwriting.
